01 / OUR STORY

Born from friendship.
Built into a brotherhood.

Maldivian Custom Choppers began in September 2009, when three friends with a shared obsession for motorcycles came together to ride, build and create machines with their own hands. What started in a small circle soon grew into a movement—and in 2012, MCC was officially registered as a non-governmental organisation with the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Today, MCC brings together more than 200 registered members under an eight-member board of senior and junior officers. Beyond riding and custom culture, the club has spent its history competing in motorsport, supporting charitable causes, and working alongside public authorities to promote traffic safety across the Maldives.

In 2013, three MCC riders made the club’s first journey to Burapa Bike Week, carrying the Maldivian flag on the “Ride for Peace.” MCC has proudly represented the Maldives at the annual festival ever since—proving that an island-born brotherhood can make its presence felt on roads far beyond home.

BURAPA
BIKE WEEK

Every February, Pattaya becomes the meeting point for motorcycle culture from across the world. Burapa Bike Week is a multi-day rally of custom machines, live entertainment and international brotherhood, culminating in the iconic “Ride for Peace” parade through the city and along Jomtien Beach.

Founded in 1997 by a group of Thai motorcyclists, the festival was initiated by former Thai Minister of Culture Sontaya Kunplome together with Burapa Motorcycle Club and its president, Jumeen. The event now welcomes riders from the United States, Europe and Southeast Asia for three to five days of celebration, supported by coordinated traffic and public-safety planning from Pattaya authorities.
